On August 21, the Ambassador of Belarus Pavel Utyupin was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

As reported by Zakon.kz , during the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu discussed with the ambassador current issues of Kazakh-Belarusian cooperation both at the bilateral level and within the framework of multilateral organizations.

"In particular, the minister emphasized that Kazakhstan pursues a balanced and peaceful foreign policy in accordance with the UN Charter and fundamental norms of international law. Our country is firmly convinced that all disagreements between states should be resolved by political and diplomatic means," the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan said in a statement.

The department added that in the current geopolitical conditions, the foreign policy course of the country developed by the head of state has proven its effectiveness. In this regard, the minister called on the Belarusian side to objectively assess Astana's position regarding the ongoing processes.

Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated in an interview with the Rossiya TV channel that "some post-Soviet countries are seeking to benefit from Russia without offering anything in return."

However, according to him, in emergency situations, the post-Soviet countries will again turn to Russia and Belarus for help. "Who is waiting for goods from Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan in America or the EU? Well, they will take goods for 2 million, and what will they do with the rest? They are trying to sell the surplus to Russia. We have a common market, and it is not advisable to lose it," Lukashenko added, calling for being together in these difficult times.
