The expert commission of the KGSMS recognized 9 more structures as monuments of historical and cultural significance

The third session of the expert committee of the RA Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia took place during which the issues of granting the status of newly discovered monuments to 9 historical and cultural objects located in the city of Yerevan and Kotayk marz were discussed. According to the message of the Ministry of Education and Culture, all the discussed objects received the status of a newly discovered monument with the positive conclusion of the commission.

"Newly discovered monuments of local importance in Yerevan are Abovyan str. of Kentron administrative district. 36 (1950s), Abovyan str. 39-41 (1950s), Baghramyan Ave. 1 (Moskovyan str. 20) (1945) residential buildings, Nork-Marash administrative district St. Khanzadyan str. 60 (19th century), S. Khanzadyan str. 94 (end of the 19th century - beginning of the 20th century), St. Khanzadyan str. 100 (end of 19th century - beginning of 20th century) residential houses.

The Castle of Arzakan village of Kotayk marz (2-1st century) and the Castle of Karashamb village (2-1st century) received the status of monuments of republican significance, and the cemetery of Karashamb village was given the status of historical and cultural immovable of Kotayk marz. St. included in the state list of monuments. Gevorg Church (state index: 6.66.1.2), status of a sub-monument of local significance.

Among the discussed projects of conservation zones of immovable monuments of history and culture located in different marzes of the Republic are "Northern Cemetery of Avan" 10-19th centuries in Avan administrative district of Yerevan city. and "Residence" in BC. 6th century BC 2nd c. (state index: 1.2.2), Old Nork district of Nork-Marash administrative district, 19th century. end of the 20th century beginning, Talin Catholic Church complex of Talin city, Aragatsotn region, 4th-20th centuries, Church of St. Astvatsatsin, 613-615. (general indicator: 2.3.4, 2.3.5) projects of protection zones of monuments. At the same time, the projects of the protected zones of the Castle of Karashamb village (2-1st millennium BC) and the Castle of Arzakan village (2-1st millennium BC) of Kotayk marz, which received the status of newly discovered monuments, were also discussed.

The presented projects were considered acceptable by the committee and, according to the established procedure, after being agreed with the heads of the communities and state bodies of territorial administration, they will be approved by the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports," said the message of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
